We've been lucky to eat extremely well since arriving. Helen is a gourmet chef and The Bowies are grateful beneficiaries.
Some of the local foods we have enjoyed include what look like minor variants of our typical cuisine, but the rashers, bread, and eggs stand out as particularly satisfying delights. Irish soda bread, lathered with Kerry Gold Creamery Butter, has been a forgivable sin. Moderation can join us by also taking a vacation, at least for a short while.
Right next door to us is a small outfit that makes amazing smoked salmon.
The kids get a kick out of our farm fresh eggs that we retrieve by a roadside stand a few miles down the road. And by roadside, I do mean roadside. Nothing like a lorry buzzing your backside as you throw some coins into an egg machine!
Similarly, we fill our water bottles from a fresh spring on the road to Dundalk.

I'm SO enjoying your blog, and feeling as if I'm also in Ireland! Great job!
